Air India will be cutting international flights on widebody aircraft that connects most of the long races and ultra long hall destinations by 15%, the airline said late on the evening of Wednesday (June 18, 2025).

The deduction will now be implemented between June 20 and will continue till minimum mid -July. The move will also help the airline to be the availability of the aircraft reserved to take care of any unplanned disruption.

The airline has canceled 83 flights on its Boeing 777 and Boeing 787 aircraft since the accident in Ahmedabad on 12 June, which was the first time that the Boeing 787 Dreamliner was involved in any accident in the world.

The airline offered their apology to passengers for inconvenience. Passengers will be able to resolve without any additional cost, or will seek full refunds.

At the top of the monitoring order monitored by DGCA for Boeing 787, where 26 of 33 aircraft have been inspected so far, the airline has also decided to conduct an increased security check on its Boeing 777 fleet.
