Stock markets extend winning run to seventh day; Sensex edges up 32 points

Benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty ended marginally on Tuesday (March 25, 2025), taking their growing streak to the seventh session, even after recent sharp benefits, markets saw profit-booking.

The 30-Sare BSE benchmark Sensx received 32.81 points or 0.04% to settle at 78,017.19. During the day, it jumped from 757.31 points or 0.97% to 78,741.69.

NSE Nifty abolished the profit of 10.30 points or 0.04% to 23,668.65.

From Sensx Pack, UltraTech Cement, Infosys, Bajaj Finserv, Axis Bank, HDFC Bank, Bharti Airtel, HCL Tech and Tata Consultancy Services were the biggest beneficiaries.

ZOMATO tank after about 6% Indusind Bank, falling about 5%. Adani Ports, Mahindra and Mahindra, Reliance Industries and Sun Pharma were also among the legs.

“After the six-day recovery rally, some profit-booking was seen in the broad market, especially in small and midcap shares, where premium valuation is still present. According to exchange data, foreign institutional investors (FIIs) on Monday bought equity worth Rs 3,055.76 crore.

In Asian markets, Tokyo settled in a positive field, while Seoul, Shanghai and Hong Kong were reduced.

European markets were trading in a positive field. The American markets increased significantly on Monday.

Global Oil Benchmark Brent crude rose 0.53 percent to USD 73.39 per barrel.

The BSE benchmark gauge on Monday jumped 1,078.87 points or 1.40% to settle at a six -week high of 77,984.38. The Nifty rose 307.95 points or from 1.32% to 23,658.35.
