BMW Group India for the July-September quarter (Q3) reported 21% year-on-year (YoY) growth in car sales to 4,204 units, its best third quarter ever.
In the first nine months of the calendar year (January-September) the company sold 11,978 cars and 3,976 motorcycles. BMW sold 11,510 units and MINI sold 468 units.
The company recorded its best ever sales in September due to the positive impacts of the new GST pricing and intense festive season.
It remains the number one choice of luxury EV consumers in India by selling 2,509 EVs in the last 9 months, up 246% YoY. Long wheelbase models also contributed to sales growth.
Hardeep Singh Brar, President and CEO, BMW Group India, said, “Strong product aggression coupled with excellent aftersales services, personalized brand engagement and finance offers have driven a significant increase in demand.”
He said, “Our long-term strategy aims to successfully unlock the potential of the luxury car market and grow market share while maintaining the core of joy and sheer driving pleasure. The order bank remains healthy, and we are confident of once again ending the year with the best-ever sales.”
