Stock markets end higher for 2nd day; metal stocks soar

Benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty ended more for the second day on Friday (October 3, 2025), which by buying in metal shares and purchasing a rally in global markets.

The 30-one BSE Sensex climbed 223.86 points or 0.28%to settled at 81,207.17. During the day, the index gave 602.42 points to the high of 81,251.99 and the low of 80,649.57.

50-Sare NSE Nifty increased to 57.95 points, or 0.23%, to 24,894.25.

From Sensex firms, Tata Steel climbed 3.40%, followed by Power Grid, Axis Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Larsen & amp; Taubro, India Electronics and Bharti Airtel.

In contrast, Tech Mahindra, Maruti, UltraTech Cement and Bajaj Finserva were among the major legs.

The BSE Metal Index jumped 1.85%, such as 6.18 percent in Lloyds Metals and Energy, National Aluminum Company (3.10%), and companies such as Jindal Stainless (2.87%).

According to exchange data, foreign institutional investors (FII) on Wednesday shut down a price of ₹ 1,605.20 crore, while domestic institutional investors (DII) bought shares worth ₹ 2,916.14 crore.

In the Asian markets, Japan’s Nikkei settled rapidly in the 225 index, while Hong Kong’s Hang Seng index decreased. The stock market in Koppy in China and South Korea was closed for public holidays.

Equity markets in Europe were doing high business in mid -session deals.

The US markets ended in Green on Thursday.

Global Oil Benchmark Brent crude climbed 0.86% to $ 64.61 per barrel.

Equity markets were closed on Thursday for Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti and Dussehra.

On Wednesday, Sensex jumped 715.69 points or 0.89%to settle at 80,983.31, and the Nifty climbed 225.20 points, or 0.92%, 24,836.30.
