Engineering, textile exports continued to grow in July


Shipments of engineering, textiles and apparel goods, which have a large number of MSME exporters, recorded an increase in July compared to the year-Arjak month.

The export of textiles recorded an increase of 5.84% year-on-year in July, while the costume exports rose 4.75%.

Cumulative exports of textiles and costumes in July were 5.37% higher than in July 2024. And, cumulative exports of textiles and costumes during April – was 3.87% higher than the same period last year in July this year.

Export of engineering goods in July was $ 10.43 billion in July 2024 as against $ 9.17 billion, with an increase of 13.75%.

For the April-July period of FY 26, engineering goods worth $ 39.33 billion were exported, 6% higher than exports for the previous financial year related exports.

Pankaj Chadha, president of EEPC India, said the global trade scenario despite the remaining clouds, the Indian engineering export sector continued to display flexibility.

He said that in front of the tariff-related uncertainties triggered by the US, more emphasis has been laid on market and product diversification by engineering exporters.
