Stock markets close flat; Eternal jumps nearly 11%

The benchmark stock indices sense and Nifty were almost unchanged in an unstable trade on Tuesday (July 22, 2025) as the profit in quick commerce and private banking stocks was offset with damage in oil and gas and IT shares.

The 30-one BSE Sensex ended at 82,186.81 below 13.53 points or 0.02%. During the morning trade, it climbed 337.83 points or 0.41% to climb at 82,538.17, but later lost speed.

50-Sare NSE Nifty arranged 29.80 points or 0.12% at 25,060.90.

Experts said that before the time limit of August 1, the lack of clarity on the US-India trade deal and the profit booking by FII killed the market spirit, the experts said.

Among the Sensex firms, Shashwat jumped the most of 10.56% at a post-reset rally. Food delivery and Quick Commerce firms, Eternal, who owns Zomato and Blinkit brands on Monday (July 21, 2025), reported a consolidated net profit of 25 crores for the June quarter, as continuous investment in quick commerce and its lower back businesses weigh.

Titan, Hindustan Unilever, Bharat Electronics, Maruti, ICICI Bank and Mahindra and Mahindra were also among the beneficiaries.

However, Tata Motors, Adani Ports, State Bank of India and Reliance Industries were among the Legords.

In the Asian markets, Shanghai’s SSE Composite Index and Hong Kong’s Hong Seng settled in the positive area, while South Korea’s Kospi and Japan’s Nikkei 225 index decreased.

European markets were mostly doing less business. The American markets were mostly high on Monday (July 21, 2025).

According to exchange data, foreign institutional investors (FII) on Monday (July 21, 2025) launched a price of ₹ 1,681.23 crore, while domestic institutional investors (DII) bought shares of 3,578.43 crore as per the exchange data.

Global Oil Benchmark Brent crude fell 0.97% to $ 68.54 per barrel.

On Monday (July 21, 2025), the sensex climbed 442.61 points or 0.54% to 82,200.34. The Nifty rose 122.30 points or 0.49% to 25,090.70.
