The benchmark stock indices sense and Nifty marked their second straight day loss due to the outflow of foreign funds on Friday (July 18, 2025) and sold in banking stocks after a silent start in the quarter -season season.
30-Syre BSE Sensex scored 501.51 points or 0.61%tank, to settle at 81,757.73. During the day, it hit 651.11 points or 0.79%, 81,608.13.
50-Sare NSE Nifty dropped at 143.05 points or 0.57%, closing at 24,968.40.
Analysts stated that investors alerted banking shares in response to Axis Bank’s latest financial results, which decreased from market expectations.
Between Sensex Firms, Axis Bank increased by 5.24% after a 3% dip in its June quarter, which was affected by the implementation of non-performing assets and changes in debt upgradation policy, of 6,243.72 crores.
Devarsh Vakil, head of the head of research of HDFC Securities, said Axis Bank’s latest financial results were reduced by market expectations.
“In particular, Axis Bank’s GDR on Thursday (July 17, 2025) rose 4.8% to $ 64.30 after a decline in the quality of the bank asset during the June quarter,” he said.
In Blue-Chip Bank stocks, Axis Bank, HDFC Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank and State Bank of India were reduced to decreased. After the decline in bank shares, BSE Bankex decreased by 1.33%, at 62,741.65.
Bharat Electronics, Bharti Airtel, HDFC Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Titan and Eternal were also among the Lagards from Senses Pack.
However, Bajaj Finance, Tata Steel, ICICI Bank, HCL Tech and Infosys were among the beneficiaries.
According to exchange data, foreign institutional investors (FII) on Thursday (July 17, 2025) launched a price of ₹ 3,694.31 crore.
In the Asian markets, South Korea’s Kospi and Japan’s Nikkei 225 index decreased, while Shanghai’s SSE Composite Index and Hong Kong’s Hang Seng ended in the positive area.
European markets were trading with profit. The American markets ended more on Thursday (July 17, 2025).
Global Oil Benchmark Brent crude climbed 0.92% to $ 70.16 per barrel. On Thursday (July 17, 2025), Sensex dropped 375.24 points or 0.45%, to settle at 82,259.24. The Nifty was reduced to 100.60 points or 0.40%, 25,1111.45.
