The iconic Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) building in South Mumbai received an email of bomb, which came out for a deception after searching the complex, police said on Tuesday (July 15, 2025).
An official said that an employee of BSE received an email from an email ID on Sunday (July 14), mentioning the name of a political leader from South India.
Email claimed that four RDX IEDs were installed at BSE building and warned of an explosion on Monday (July 15) at around 3 pm.
The BSE employee alerted the stock exchange officers who then approached the Mumbai Police.
A team of Mumbai Police and the Bomb detection and settlement squad (BDD) arrived at the BSE Highrise Tower and a discovery, the official said that nothing was found suspicious.
The police have registered a case against unknown person under the relevant sections of the Indian Judge Code (BNS) and efforts were made to locate the email sender.
