Elon Musk said on Monday that he does not support the merger between his electric vehicle manufacturer Tesla and his Artificial Intelligence Startup XAI, which is the owner of the Groke Chatbot and competes with the choice of openi’s chat.
In response to a user post on X, who asked Tesla investors if they had supported the merger between the two companies, Musk replied “no.”
On Sunday, Musk said that he would ask Tesla’s shareholders to vote whether Tesla can invest in XE, first by saying “it would be great” if Tesla could do so.
Tesla and XAI did not immediately respond to Reuters’ requests for comments.
XAI acquired XAI, earlier called Twitter and in March this year, in the $ 33 billion deal owned by Musk, at that time, the joint group was given a price of $ 80 billion.
Sources told Reuters in June that XAI was negotiating to raise money on the evaluation of more than $ 120 billion, while also discussed at a high level of $ 200 billion.
The Wall Street Journal said on Saturday that Musk’s SpaceX committed $ 2 billion to XAI as part of the $ 5 billion equity round.
