Dodla Dairy acquiring HR Food Processing for ₹271 cr. to enhance presence in east India  


Dodla Dairy has planned to acquire OSAM brand milk and milk products company HR food processing for an all cash deal to increase its market access to the eastern region.

HR food processing has a purchase network with more than 25,000 plus dairy farmers, a process of about 1.1 lakh liters of milk per day and has 1,000 collections and 19 chilling centers. It has a strong presence in Bihar, Jharkhand and Eastern dairy markets, Dodla said on Friday after receiving his board approval for acquisition.

The company consists of an acquisition cost of 100% ₹ 247.2 crore enterprise price and a net cash of .8 23.8 crore, it is expected that the acquisition is expected to complete 1-2 months from the date of shares and signing of other agreements. The turnover of HR food processing in 2024-25 was 282.6 crore.

“This step underlines our commitment to become a PAN-India dairy company. As a market, Eastern India is a very exciting market for dairy industry with rapid growth compared to national average. This market supports a large population, and high urbanization in milk consumption and strong GDP growth is a great headroom for growth from growth,” said Dododi Raddi.
