The Mumbai airport said on Friday (May 16, 2025) that the services of the Indo Thai airport will complete the ground handling operations at the airport for three months.

The announcement was made a day after the Union Government canceled the concession agreements with Celebi NAS for Mumbai and Ahmedabad airports after the Union Government canceled the security approval of the Turkish firm Celebi.

Mumbai International Airport Limited (Mial) said in a statement that the services of the Indo Thai airport have been appointed as the interim ground handling provider at the airport for the next three months with immediate effect.

Currently, the services of the Indo Thai airport operate at nine airports.

A part of the Adani Group operates Mial, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA), which is also the second largest airport in the country.

“CSMIA will facilitate the transfer of all existing NAS employees in CSMIA in CSMIA on its existing rules and employment terms, thus ensuring no loss of employment and continuous service distribution to the airline partners. Currently all ground handling equipment owned by Celebi NAS will be given a lease to maintain consciousness by Indo Thai airports.

Within the next three days, Mial will begin requests for the proposal (RFP) process to place a long -term ground handling partner on the ship. The partner will be placed on the ship in the next three months.
