Apex body of chartered accountants will prepare a research paper to help SEBI’s Watchdog SEBI in dealing with financial fraud.
ICAI President Charanjot Singh Nanda said on Saturday (May 3, 2025) that the institute would establish a work group and discuss with SEBI to finalize various aspects, which will be seen regarding the financial fraud dealing.
The Working Group will present a research paper to the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) in this regard. PTI.
Mr. Nanda held a meeting with SEBI President Tuhin Kanta Pandey on Friday.
“India is a very favorable investment destination. People want to invest in India, and ordinary people have converted their savings into markets such as markets,” Mr. Nanda said in a briefing in the national capital.
It is important for SEBI to ensure the safety of investors’ interests. Along with ICAI, a system can be developed to prevent fraud, he said.
In recent years, investment in capital market including retail investors has increased. In addition, financial misunderstandings and value are examples of rigging.
To protect the interests of investors and promote financial markets, various efforts are being made by regulators to sensitive the public and curb fraud.
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has more than 4.35 lakh members and more than 10 lakh students.
