HCL Tech shares jump over 7% post Q4 earnings

On Wednesday (April 23, 2025), HCL Technologies shares increased by more than 7%, as the firm recorded an increase of 8.1% in consolidated net profit for the January-March quarter of 2024-25.

Stock increased by 7.42% to .5 1,589.95 on BSE. In NSE, the resin of 7.43% in the firm shares exceeded 7.590.

Stock emerged as the biggest advantage between BSE Sensx and NSE Nifty firms during dawn trade.

HCL Technologies on Tuesday recorded an increase of 8.1 percent in consolidated net profit for the quarter of March 2024-25, mainly due to large deals with a total contract price of around ₹ 25,500 crore.

The company had logged a profit of ₹ 3,986 crore for the same period a year ago, it was said in a regulator filing.

C. Vijaykumar, CEO and Managing Director of HCL Tech, said, “We increased by 2.9% on a year-on-year basis. Our operating margin for the quarter came to 17.9%. Our services business increased 0.7% sequentially and 2.7% from year to year.”

In March Quarter 2023-24, the revenue increased by 6.1% to ₹ 30,246 crore due to operation in the quarter under review.

Vijayakumar said that the company made a deal of $ 3 billion (about ₹ 25,500 crore).

“We had a very strong quarter. In fact, the second highest after the quarter of 23 September, which was behind a mega deal you all know.

He said, “In this quarter, we brought $ 3 billion in pure new booking. At the financial year level, the total new booking was $ 9.4 billion. Strong booking service was well balanced in lines, geography and vertical,” he said.

For the year ending 31 March, 2025, HCL Technologies registered a net profit of about 11 percent in FY 2014 from ₹ 15,710 crore, 17,390 crore.

Revenue increased by 6.5% to ₹ 1,17,055 crore year-on-year.
