Mahindra & Mahindra Limited (M&M), inaugurated Mahindra India Design Studio (MIDS) on Monday (April 7, 2025) – a creative facility in Mumbai to increase its design capabilities.
Originally established in 2015, MIDS was established as a dedicated studio to support the company’s auto and farm businesses.
The purpose of extended mids is to induce innovation by combining digital devices with craftsmanship on hands. The company said that India and Mahindra’s global design outpost – Mahindra Advanced Design Serving as a collaborative bridge between Europe (Made), UK – would play a central role in shaping vehicles and experiences that are uniquely global.
Ajay Saran Sharma, Senior Vice President of Design and Head Mids said, “The footprint of space doubled to take and distribute the project portfolio that ever expanded in businesses.”
He said, “End-to-and delivery on projects is stronger with new working structure from first concept sketch through production, including classic design vertical as well as new functions such as HMI design, design quality and feeling.”
The M&M said, Pratap Bose, the main design and creative officer, M&M said, “The new studio will attract the best design talent from India and become a major motor vehicle design center in India. The effect of MIDS on our products will be felt for many years to come.”
