On Thursday (April 3, 2025), Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal asked the Indian startup community to focus his attention from delivery and ice cream to the Indian startup community in high technical fields such as semiconductors, machine learning, robotics and artificial intelligence.
He also said that the startup ecosystem requires more Indian investors.
“Are we going to please boys and girls who are happy … India’s destiny … This is not a startup, this is entrepreneurship … what is the other side doing – robotics, machine learning, 3D manufacturing and next generation factories factories,” Startup Mahakumbe said, “Startup Mahakumbe said.
The minister said that the new startup should focus on the preparation of the nation for the future.
“Do we have to make ice cream or chips?” He asked.
He also underlined the developed role of Startup in running India’s economic and technological development.
He assured that the government would hand over and support those who are facing challenges in their startup journey, encouraging them to do firmly and try again.
The minister emphasized the need to increase domestic capital investment, stating that a strong foundation of indigenous investment is important to reduce dependence on foreign capital and ensure long -term economic flexibility.
Mr. Goyal emphasized the need to attract more domestic investors to strengthen India’s capital base and ensure self -reliance.
