The Government of Karnataka aims to solve the problem of unemployment by providing jobs through Udyog Melas. Medical Education and Skill Development Minister Sharan Prakash Patil announced that one such program would be held on 28 March in Kalburagi. This welfare will enable unemployed youth of Karnataka region to apply for jobs.

He announced on 1 March after inaugurating a UDOG fair at the Auditorium of the University of Agricultural Sciences (UAS) at Raichur.

Udyog Mela was attended by 65 companies, and 6,196 candidates registered online. Appointment letters were issued to 693 candidates on the spot.

Underog Mela under DDU-GKY Yojana and Sankalpa was jointly organized by the District Administration, District Panchayat, Skill Development, Entrepreneurship and Livelihoods Department, Karnataka Skill Development Corporation Bengaluru, Sanjeevini-Kisralps and District Skills Mission Rachur.

“The state government recently organized a Udyog Fair in Bengaluru, where 47,000 unemployed youth participated. Among them, 25,000 were provided jobs. A similar program will be held on March 28 in Kalaburagi, where the unemployed youth of Kalyan Karnataka region can participate and get employment, ”Dr. Patil said.

“Thousands of educated unemployed youth, who are coming to Bangalore city, are working in private sector and also in IT companies. Companies located in Raichur district should compulsorily provide jobs to local uneducated youth as the highest priority, ”he said.

The minister said that the state government continued with its five guarantee, including the youth, which provides 3,000 and ₹ 1,500, as financial assistance to graduate and diploma holders for two years after completion of courses. He said, “The scheme widely helped unemployed youth.”
