TCS Q3 profit drops 14% to ₹10,657 crore

The country’s largest IT services company, TCS, on Monday (January 12, 2025) reported 13.91% decline in December quarter net profit at Rs 10,657 crore.

The Tata group company reported a net profit of ₹12,380 crore for the October-December period of FY2025 and ₹12,075 crore for the previous September quarter.

Revenue from operations increased 4.86% to ₹67,087 crore from ₹63,973 crore in the quarter under review.

Operating profit margin was flat at 25.2% in Q3 compared to the September quarter, but was higher than 24.5% in the year-ago period, according to a company statement.

Chief Executive and Managing Director of the company. Kritivasan said the growth momentum seen in the September quarter will continue in the next three months.

He said annual revenue from artificial intelligence has increased by more than 17% to $1.8 billion.

The company’s total new deal wins, based on total contract value numbers, stood at $9.3 billion in the December quarter.

On Monday (January 12), TCS shares closed 0.86% higher at ₹3,235.70 on the BSE.
