MCap of six of ten most valued firms drops by ₹2.22 lakh crore; Reliance biggest laggard

Last week, a joint market assessment of six out of six of the ten most valuable firms decreased by 2.22 lakh crores, with Reliance Industries the biggest hit, in-line with a recession in equity. Last week, the BSE benchmark gauge fell by 294.64 points or 0.36%.

“The markets were reduced to the fourth straight week as per caution between mixed signals. The market direction was initially affected by the announcements of earnings, showing strength due to positive results from HDFC Bank and ICICI Bank along with the banking sector. Mishra, SVP, Research, Religre Broking Limited, said.

From the top -10 pack, Reliance Industries, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Infosys, Bajaj Finance, Hindustan Unilever and Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) faced a joint erosion of ₹ 2,22,193.17 crore from their market evaluation. HDFC Bank, Bharti Airtel, ICICI Bank and State Bank of India took advantage of their evaluation. Most of the top -10 firms, “Evaluation of Reliance Industries. 1,14,687.7 crore crore has increased to ₹ 18,83,855.52 crore.”

Infosys faced erosion of ₹ 29,474.56 crore to ₹ 6,29,621.56 crore from their market capitalization (MCAP). The evaluation of LIC from ₹ 23,086.24 crore to ₹ 5,60,742.67 crore and TCS fell to ₹ 20,080.39 crore. Bajaj Finance fell by MCAP ₹ 17,524.3 crore, fell ₹ 5,67,768.53 crore and Hindustan Unilever fell from ₹ 17,339.98 crore to ₹ 5,67,449.79 crore. However, HDFC Bank’s market evaluation jumped ₹ 37,161.53 crore. ICICI Bank added ₹ 35,814.41 crore, evaluated it to ₹ 10,53,823.14 crore.

‘One’ friend in Dalal Street

Bharti Airtel’s MCAP ₹ 20,841.2 crore rose to ₹ 11,04,839.93 crore and State Bank of India increased from ₹ 9,685.34 crore to ₹ 7,44,449.31 crore. Reliance Industries remained the most valuable domestic firm after HDFC Bank, TCS, Bharti Airtel, ICICI Bank, State Bank of India, Infosys, Bajaj Finance, Hindustan Unilever and LIC.
