PV sales dipped 1%, two-wheelers grew 2.2% YoY in May: SIAM

According to data released by the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), the passenger vehicle (PV) fell to 3.45 lakh units in May 2025 to the passenger vehicle (PV).

According to the data, three-wheeled sections of Thoured D-Gru 3.3% compared to May 2024, with sales of 0.54 lakh units, while in May 2025, the two-wheel section increased by 2.2%, while with sales of 16.56 lakh units compared to May 2024.

Among three-wheelers, the e-rickshaw segment fell by 40.1% to 720 units and fell to 148 units by 41.3% to 148 units.

Between the two-wheelers, the scooter increased by 7.1% to 5,79,507 units, while the moped segment D-7% to 37,264 units.

The quadriceical segment saw a decline of 97% Yo in just one unit.

Siyam Director General Rajesh Menon said, “All vehicle segments posted a stable performance in May 2025.” He said, “Moving forward, the three repo rates of the RBI reduce 100 basis points in less than six months, as well as some indicators with the forecast of the above normal monsoon that positively affect the auto sector by promoting strength and consumer spirit in the coming months.”
