Center Rabi Shankar is re -appointed as Deputy Governor, Reserve Bank of India (RBI), from May 3, 2025, or further orders for a period of one year, whatever is earlier. This is his second extension. Mr. Shankar is in charge of Forex, Currency Management and Government Accounts Department in RBI. He was appointed as Deputy Governor in May 2021. He was earlier the Executive Director of RBI.
